Police have fired tear gas in central Paris as demonstrations against a rise in diesel prices hit the French capital. Yellow Vest, or gilets jaunes protesters gathered on the Champs Elysees, ahead of their rally scheduled for the Champs de Mars, at the foot of the Eiffel tower.
